In July 2007, a group of twelve year-old boys from the PTC Cobra's Baseball Organization, also known as, Cobra Nation, in Shelby, Michigan traveled to New York's Cooperstown All-Star Village for a week-long baseball tournament.
The weather was hot and so was the Cobra Nation. The boys won their first three qualifying games in deciding fashion and were quickly recognized as one of the teams to beat for the tournament. After six qualifying games, the single elimination tournament began. Cobra Nation made it to the last day of competition before losing 8-3 to the eventual tournament champions from Georgia.
The tournament was a great experience for all, as was our trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The memories of this special week will live forever not only for the boys, but for all the family members that came along. It truly was an incredible trip!
A special thanks from Cobra Nation to Crystal Lynch and American Homes for their support and banner sponsorship. (American Homes of Richfield Springs in conjunction with Titan Homes located in Sangerfield, New York sponsored the Cobra Nation's trip to the tournament). Thanks for taking the time to come watch the Nation compete and the pictures you took were AWESOME!!
